My Daily Spiritual Journal
Hello, friends! We are inviting you to join us on a journey. For the next 30 days we are going to dedicate 15-20 minutes to concentrate solely on our relationship with God. We want to encourage you to set aside a time and place to be alone. Pick a place that is quiet (if possible). Our favorite places are on the porch, the sun room, near the trees, on the beach, or in the breakfast nook.
We both wholeheartedly believe in three key things: 1) Daily Bible Reading. Having assigned passages can help keep us on task. God speaks to us through His word to produce faith in us (II Timothy 3:16-17, Romans 10:17). 2) Daily Prayer & Meditation. Taking time to be in a quiet, peaceful spot for even just a few moments can change everything. Stillness is essential for seeking the face of God (Psalm 46:10). 3) Write It Down. There is a great release that happens when we add ink to our thoughts. Write down your prayer requests. Record your praise items. Focus on positive things (Philippians 4:6-9). The Lord loves to hear your voice! Talk to Him fervently and frequently.
During the next 30 days, please remember that this is about your spiritual walk. If you need more or less than 15-20 minutes, please fit it around your schedule. But make it a habit. Recent statistics say that you can form a habit in as little as 18-20 days. This is your opportunity to grow spiritually, pray effectively, and set appropriate goals to move forward in your faith. We recommend starting on the 1st of the month, so your progress is easier to track from day to day. And, when you finish, look for the next journal to continue your healthy habit.
